The third Mongolian Young Leaders Program was successfully organized on April 8-9, 2011 in Boston, MA. Twelve Mongolian students from various universities across the United States were selected to participate in the program. MIT Mongolian Students Association and Harvard Mongolian Society jointly organized this program.

The theme of MYLP 2011 was “The Impacts and Implications of the Growing Natural Resource Sector in Mongolia.” The guest speakers were Nazli Choucri, Professor of Political Science at MIT, Louis T. Wells, Professor of International Management at Harvard Business School, and Richard Lester, Head of Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at MIT. Our guest speakers shared their views on sustainability, investment, and resource management in developing economies, and discussed with the participants about current Mongolian development in respect to global challenges.

MYLP 2011 was made possible with the generous sponsorship of Nomadic Expedition, Newcom, and Rio Tinto.
