New York

The seventh MYLP was organized in New York,NY at the Columbia University campus, during April 3-5, 2014 under the topic of Prudent Public Financing Management. With a belief that public finance has its implications on all sectors and is crucial for Mongolia’s development, we brought together 18 outstanding Mongolian students from diverse set of studies to discuss the different views and thoughts around the topic. The Program was organized under the auspices of the President of Mongolia.

The Program consists of panel discussion, distinguished guest speakers, series of group presentations, participatory sessions, and visits to the Permanent Mission of Mongolia, United Nations, Revenue Watch Institute that other relevant organizations in order to cultivate thoughtful discussions and intellectual exchange of ideas about the future of public finance in Mongolia. Furthermore, participants visited exciting attractions in the vibrant city of New York. It was a great opportunity for fellow Mongolian students to meet and network with one another, exchange their views and opinions, and to become a part of the growing Mongolian Young Leaders Network.
